(Austin, Texas) November 25, 2022 – latakoo’s Co-founder and President Jade Kurian has been shortlisted in the Business category at the Rise Awards.

The awards recognize the talent, skills, expertise and achievements of women across the broadcast technology and services industries.

For the Business category, the Rise Awards celebrates the achievements of a woman who shows business acumen and outstanding leadership while achieving remarkable business growth.

Kurian, one of seven finalists for the honor, founded latakoo along with Paul Adrian in 2010. 

She is a former journalist who founded latakoo to create a cloud-based software solution enabling journalists, video producers and content creators to send, receive and collaborate with large video files over the Internet regardless of bandwidth.

“It is a tremendous honor to be on this list for a number of reasons,” Kurian said. “The women who are on this list are accomplished and work to build space for other women in technology. Rise, as an organization, advocates for gender diversity within the media technology sector. We have not yet built a level playing field for all genders, but this is a group of people who are leading the effort.”
